This doesn't look the strongest of maidens and the race looks to revolve around Royal Distant, Regulated and Little London, with the latter getting the nod. John Dunlop's colt has shown promise in both outings to date and is clearly going the right way following a sound effort behind Waaedah at Epsom, despite looking ill at ease on the track. He is sure to have come on in the meantime and can get off the mark here. Regulated needs to forgiven a poor effort at Newcastle last time, but he did race on the outside of his field and may have a valid excuse. He is better judged on his run behind Spin King at Leicester, form of which would certainly put him in with a shout here. However, the main danger should come from Royal Distant, who shaped with plenty of promise behind Bay Tree at Newbury, before lack of condition took its toll. With the winner going on to land a Listed contest since, the form is solid, but the one reservation here is he has been drawn on the wide outside. La Coruna, a half-sister to smart sprinter Deportivo, is a late foal and may need more time, so with that in mind, Little London gets a narrow vote to make the most of his experience.
