In depth

Verdict

Stagnite regained the winning thread last time and can follow up this afternoon, Imperium and Edin Burgher look to be the main rivals. Jamie Spencer takes the ride on the selection, who showed tremendous determination to get the better of Segoria in a banded event over course and distance. This does represent a step in class but it is not the strongest of handicaps and he can make it back to back victories. Imperium looked on his way back to top form with a decent effort at Wolverhampton last time over the minimum trip. He is just as effective over this longer distance and should be in the shake up. Edin Burgher also hit winning form last time in the lowest grade and has a nice racing weight here today, another bold run can be expected. David's Mark has the assistance of Eddie Ahern and may do best of the others, however Stagnite is expected to go in again under the champion jockey.
