Verdict

This is a competitive handicap but Clive Brittain's MUDHISH is given the narrow vote over Simpsons Gamble and Spoof Master. The selection went close in a handicap at Kempton earlier in the month and he looks primed to take his chance. His run last time was a much improved effort and he should be capable of going in off his current mark. Simpsons Gamble doesn't win very often but he has scored over the course and distance and he wasn't beaten far last time. Jack Mitchell is good value for his claims and he can go close. Spoof Master finished third behind Spic 'n Span last time and the form has worked out quite well so a case can certainly be made for this 5-year-old, especially as the yard are in fair form. Music Box Express may need some help from the handicapper before he is able to resume winning ways, while Bahamian Bliss is capable of going well at an each-way price. However, Mudhish finished second last time out and he can go one better this afternoon.
