Verdict

Quiditch D'Ouxy won his latest start, a selling handicap at Huntingdon, well enough but a 5lb rise for that success leaves him with more to do and a better bet looks to be WISE MEN SAY, who gets the verdict ahead of Bankstair. The last mentioned has been well held in recent outings but he is relatively unexposed after just five starts and makes his debut in a handicap off what seems a fair mark. Neil Mulholland's Faraday found just Bergo too good in a novices' hurdle at Taunton last time and he has to be respected back in a handicap but is 10lbs out of the weights proper. Stable companion Rhinestone Ruby has given little sign of encouragement of late and of more interest may be Castellina, who has his first start in a handicap since joining Philip Hobbs. Jamie Snowden's Lady Friend ran better at Newton Abbot last time and he is another to consider along with Gary Moore's Weststern but it is Wise Men Say that gets the vote. Colin Tizzard's gelding has been running consistently well of late and a reproduction of recent form should suffice in a race that should not take a great deal of winning.
