Verdict

A tough race to call here with those that have raced having shown very little and it would not take a superstar to win on its debut with this in mind the principals look to be. Devious Ayers, Averami and Tonto and we will side with Devious Ayers. The two year old from the Gerrard Butler yard is a well bred colt by Dr Devious out of a Night Shift mare and with the stable in form he could be hard to beat. Averami is improving with each race and rates the danger he was a fair fifth behind Treasure Cay last time and he has definite place claims on that form. Tonto was second behind Off Beat in a similar race last time but he is more exposed than most and for that reason he is opposed. Chorus Beauty was a disappointing favourite on her debut but is sure to have learnt from the experience. Cornwallis is a brother to a top sprinter in the states and he is another that is sure to improve but in an open race the tentative vote goes to Devious Ayers.
