    Verdict

ALEQA took a long time to get on top at Yarmouth but she looks capable of making further progress and she is preferred to the gambled on, runaway Nottingham winner Batgirl and the returning Skyflight. Aleqa was well backed at Folkestone on her penultimate start but didn't enjoy the run of the race that day but she made no mistake at Yarmouth last time and looks to hold leading claims from just a 3lb higher mark. She did take a while to master her rivals unlike Batgirl who romped clear to record a three and a half length success which could have been twice as far and the handicapper may have taken a chance in raising John Berry's filly by just 6lbs. That was a weak race but she could be progressive and she shouldn't have any problems with the longer trip. Skyflight got the better of Fazza in a Nottingham maiden when in receipt of 5lbs and has to be respected whilst Fazza faces a more realistic task than on his last couple of outings but Aleqa is fancied to gain the upper hand in a tight handicap.
