        Verdict

        Simon Crisford certainly knows what it takes to win races around here and FIRST SELECTION will be very difficult to beat. The winner of four of his first five races, he ended the campaign in the Group 1 Grand Criterium over a mile at Longchamp where he led for most of the way and only faded close home. Godolphin have three entries and the progressive Comicas looks best of the trio after overcoming a long lay-off to beat Pure Diamond over the course and distance last month when Ajwad defied a huge SP to finish third with Calder Prince and Taexali beaten around ten lengths and Ruler Of Course a further seven lengths behind. Almashooqa hasn't shown much to date.
