In depth

Verdict

It's rare to see such a small field here and even rarer for Godolphin not to be represented in this classic but they have had nothing that could get close to POLAR RIVER this winter and Doug Watson's UAE 1000 Guineas winner is impossible to oppose. She won the first fillies' classic by thirteen lengths and though having a bit further to travel here should remain unbeaten. Dolly Dagger has been left trailing behind her in her two starts here but Vale Dori is an interesting entry. Mike De Kock has acquired her from Argentina where she won a Grade 1 on Dirt as a juvenile so is obviously no slouch but conceding 10lb to the selection looks beyond her.
