In depth

Verdict

Four of these ran in the race a couple of weeks ago where Calvados Blues, who was having his first attempt at this trip, just failed to make all. He was caught in the dying strides by Star Empire and another bold bid looks likely. However, it would be no surprise if MIKHAIL GLINKA, who was staying on powerfully at the finish from a poor position, reversed the form and took this. Fourth-placed Telluride is also expected to go close but Lawspeaker never really got into the action. Age Of Reason was in superb form here last year and though his victory was gained over 1m6f he is just as effective over the shorter trip and must be a threat. The dark horse of the race is Absolute Heretic, who was noted making steady late headway on his debut over 1m2f here recently and Mike De Kock will have him primed.
