In depth

Verdict

Economic Crisis has been carrying the flag for Alan Berry since his return and, carrying a penalty for his victory here earlier this month, just failed to concede Knockamany Bends 16lb on a return visit last week. Connor Murtagh, who rode him that day, is on board BALLESTEROS for Richard Fahey and his mount looks the one to be on despite a long losing run as he's 10lb lower than his last victory. Hamidans Girl won a couple of minor handicaps before failing at Catterick and looks in the grip of the assessor but One Boy has won two of his last three including was looked a competitive handicap at Beverley. Most of the remainder can be given a chance including B Fifty Two, who produced his best run of the season when beaten a short-head at Ripon last time.
