In depth

Verdict

Chebsey Beau completed a double when successful over 1m6f here last month, when Jonny Delta and Tectonic were a long way behind, and can't have been right when tailed off at Pontefract though that was on soft ground. His stable companion TAWSEEF won a similar race to this at Carlisle in August and followed up over hurdles there later that month. He looks to have a fair chance of landing this on his return to the Flat. Jonny Delta has since gained a surprise victory on a return visit and with just 2lb extra should be prominent again. Wor Lass has gradually dropped in the ratings and showed her liking for ground with plenty of give at Ayr last time but Gold Chain is better over hurdles these days though pulled up at Perth last month. The veteran of the party, La Bacouetteuse, doesn't have much going for him apart from the presence of Serena Brotherton in the saddle.
