Verdict

Guilded Flyer came back with a bang at Leicester and can follow up at the expense of Mamore Gap and Pango in this apprentice event. Trainer Stuart Kittow has been patient with Guilded Flyer, and the four-year-old was having his first outing in six months when making most to score at Leicester at the end of May. it was a gutsy effort, and although there was nothing left in the tank at the finish, he will definitely come on for the run and is still well handicapped compared to his all-weather form. In addition he has the assistance of one of the best apprentices around, Jean-Pierre Guillambert, and must be in the shake up. Mamore Gap was successful at Salisbury in claiming company, having been absent from the winner's enclosure for two years, and providing his fragile joints stand up, can play a prominent role. Pango is going the right way judged on his second at Kempton, but does have a habit of finding one too good, while Bitter Sweet followed up her success of the previous year in a fillies' handicap at Folkestone and makes some appeal for a place. However, the one to be on is Guilded Flyer.
