        Verdict

        Blue Java, Grizedale and Bonnie Prince Blue look the three to concentrate on in this competitive handicap and the narrow vote is given to Blue Java. The selection was a fair second behind Ivory Lace last time out. He looks sure to improve for the fitting of a first time tongue tie and with his yard continuing in good form he looks the one to be on. Grizedale rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Barney McGrew but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him on that occasion and he is taken on with this in mind. Bonnie Prince Blue has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but consistency is not his strong point. Akram is from a shrewd in form yard and could go well at a price but he looks vulnerable under top weight. Of the remainder Spinning Star is unexposed and could improve of what looks a handy mark. But for the winner we return to Blue Java who at least ran well last time out.
