Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute introduces a well-bred individual in the shape of the daughter of Theatrical Erytheis but she may do better over further next term and preference is for Mostaqeleh, who is preferred to Short Dance. The last mentioned is well related and the Barry Hills-trained filly has to be respected, particularly if the market speaks in her favour. John Gosden's Aubaine is another that may do better over further and of more interest may be Mick Channon's Never Say Deya, who is bred for more speed than many of her rivals. Marcus Tregoning's Culture Queen should be better suited by today's faster surface than the ground at Goodwood on her debut, while another Gosden runner Tiana is bred for speed and has to be respected under Jimmy Fortune. The vote though goes to John Dunlop's Mostaqeleh, who ran promisingly on her debut over course and distance and should have learned a great deal from that effort.
