      Verdict

      ALMANE is penalised 3lb for winning at Beverley but that’s negated by an apprentice’s allowance and he can go in again. Paul Hanagan was on board last time but he rides stablemate and newcomer Sosian today and the latter is related to a handful of winners. Global Humor is a US-bred 300,000gns purchase and preferred to Pilkington of the other debutants but Branscombe and Cathie's Dream were both well beaten on their respective introductions.
