Verdict

Bankhall needs to lead but could get his own way out in front in this small field and may take some pegging back. Joseph Mercer was in good form at Sedgefield last month but both victories came over longer trips - he’s run 13 times over 3m and has yet to win. BASSARABAD has only been raised 3lb for a deserved success at Warwick and Tim Vaughan has a good strike rate with the few runners he sends up here. Only six, there should be more to come from the six-year-old. Rosquero would have a chance on his best form but is in the veteran stage now.
