Verdict

Wild Cane Ridge was pulled out of a tougher race earlier this week and looks to have been found a decent opportunity to follow up his debut success in a race where King Killone and Galero look to be the main dangers. The selection showed progressive form over hurdles last season and trainer Len Lungo has wasted no time in putting the son of Roselier over the larger obstacles. The six-year-old did everything asked of him when scoring here over 2m4f two weeks ago and there should be more to come from him over today's longer trip. See You There showed promise on his return last month but needs to improve and a greater threat is likely to come from King Killone, who was still in with every chance when falling at the last at Market Rasen last time. Howard Johnson's Galero has done nothing wrong in limited starts over hurdles and is interesting on his chasing bow but Wild Cane Ridge looks a useful recruit to the novice ranks and is taken to defy his penalty.
