Verdict

No five-year-old has won this in 10 years and Magic Lily, runner-up in the Group 1 Jebel Hatta at Meydan in March, also has to carry a penalty. History and the form book is against Bubble And Squeak while Queen Power appeared to have her limitations exposed in the Group 3 Winter Hill at Windsor in August. Eva Maria is basically a handicapper and Kempton specialist Ardiente has switched stables while this looks a big ask for Sweet Promise. TEREBELLUM (NAP) won a Group 2 at Deauville last August and wasn’t beaten far on her final start in the Prix de l’Opera. She will probably improve further this year and may be the one to beat.
