Verdict

ISLAND FLAME got left behind in the early stages of her debut but caught the eye staying on strongly in the closing stages to claim third over 5f at Newcastle. This longer trip will suit on that evidence and she is preferred to Sparky Jack, who showed some improvement when fifth at Windsor last time. The majority of the newcomers look nothing special on breeding with the possible exception of Ocean Eleven, a half-brother to Group 3 winner Iver bridge Lad among others, and Highway Robber, a brother to a winning sprinter.
