Verdict

FALLEN FOR A STAR was beaten when odds-on at Pontefract last time but that is still the strongest form on offer and John Gosden's colt gets a chance to make amends in this. Breeding suggests Resonant will improve for this longer trip after finishing third on his reappearance and he makes more appeal than Eben Dubai, who showed little last year and gets first-time headgear on his return. Of the newcomers, Almutamarred is related to a couple of winners while Luca Cumani has won this a couple of times in recent years so Optima Petamus is worth a second glance in the betting.
