This consolation race generally provides a few clues for the big one tomorrow regarding the draw. Daily Bulletin has only won on the all-weather so far and carries a penalty for a recent victory at Chelmsford but should stay this slightly longer trip. Three-year-olds have won three of the last five renewals and ABSOLUTE ZERO will relish the likely strong pace having won twice over 1m2f in the summer – he gets the vote as he wasn't beaten far off this mark last time at Yarmouth. Cote d'Azur has been beaten twice off this mark since rattling up a four-timer but Dawn Mirage shouldn't be far away again with Ryan Moore taking over the reins and Laurence has been knocking on the door. Faithful Creek could also go well while the front-running Freight Train looks the best of Mark Johnston's trio.
