Verdict

William Haggas has trained the winners of this in the last two years and three times in the last five. MAQSAD bolted up in the Pretty Polly here in May having won a maiden over track and trip on her reappearance. The Rowley Mile clearly suits and she can take advantage of a shorter trip and this big drop in class to get back to winning ways, despite a small penalty. John Gosden saddled the winner in 2015 and 2016 and has two entries this season. Both are improving and on a hat-trick so have decent claims but Frankie rides recent Ascot winner She's Got You so she’s preferred to Lady Lawyer. Neither Posted nor Foxtrot Lady were disgraced in a Doncaster Group 3 two weeks ago but blinkers would need to improve Sh Boom for the Chapple-Hyam filly to figure. Chaleur goes well here but steps up from handicap company while French raider Richmond Avenue has been beaten three times in the grade already. The consistent Agincourt looks the pick of the remainder.
