In depth

Verdict

MCILHATTON is likely to be all the rage in this. He was demoted by the stewards after beating Rum And Butter at Stratford last month and Jonjo O'Neill's charge went on to score at Market Rasen last week under a penalty so the form is clearly useful. Top Wood made a winning start to his chase career at Towcester and should have more to offer. But he has to give 6lb to the selection and to Hold Court, who was only beaten a neck at Uttoxeter when relatively easy to back - the latter was a useful hurdler and should be winning soon over the larger obstacles.
