In depth

Verdict

Lady Robyn has shown ability in the point-to-point world but all runs have been on ground with cut and mostly on heavy so it has to be taken on trust that she'll perform to a similar level on her first experience of quick ground. Overtoujay didn't run too badly here on his bumper debut whilst Richard Johnson is a very rare booking for Brian Barr on Buggi on her racecourse debut. Connections may squeeze a little more improvement out of The Last Melon but MACHIATO is a hopeful choice to make a winning debut. The Tizzard operation ticks over quietly during the summer months but their gelding is bred for the job as a son of Milan and hopefully the market will speak favourably of his chance here.
