Verdict

Pete is a strong traveller but rarely finds much off the bridle, as was the case at Kelso last week. Doux Douce is one for the short-list, however, as he seems to be improving with experience and was strongly fancied when second at Down Royal at the start of the month. Exeter runner-up Be Definite looks to be on the way back but there was a lot to like about JEWELLED DAGGER's comeback run behind Plan A here last month and Jim Goldie's seven-year-old is weighted to reverse running here in September with Time Machine.
