      Verdict

He may look an obvious choice but Le Corvee won over this trip last time out and process of elimination here has led us back to him for a follow up vote. Tony Carroll's gelding took advantage of a drop in the weights to win a Newmarket handicap over 10f in May and has not been seen since a respectable third in a Newton Abbot hurdle almost two months ago. he should be freshened up for that break, he acts well on fast ground and with little else in great form he can defy a 4lb rise to score. Street Warrior will have supporters after winning at Bath in April over a mile and then putting in a good run at Ayr over 9f last time. However, the four-year-old has never won beyond a mile and will find this stiff track beyond his reserves of stamina. Bavarica looks more likely to be the big danger. He sees out this trip well and acts on fast ground, though his yard aren't in red hot form so that tempers enthusiasm. Edas was third to Sunday's Market Rasen third Djess in a Cartmel hurdle when last seen out and looks better suited by 1m 4f, so preference here is for Le Corvee to get us off to a good start.
