Verdict

Braddock gets the call here ahead of Paris Bell and Turnkey. Braddock looked a horse of good potential when scoring at Newcastle last time and, although this is a step up in terms of the level of challenge for him, a seven pounds rise for that victory does not seem excessive and we will stick with him today. Dandy Nicholls has won this race twice in the last five years and his Turnkey has shown enough of late to be given thought in this competitive race. That said, King's Gait and Continent are closely-weighted with him based on recent Redcar form. Mr Wolf is back to a winning course and distance mark from last summer, but that came on good to firm, while The Snatcher is definitely on a good mark if rediscovering last season's best form. Finally, Angaric is another that looks to be on a competitive mark, while Paris Bell is another to be on a winning mark and his Newcastle run last time was too bad to be true. Once again, though, the selection is Braddock.
