The big Newmarket and Yorkshire stables have farmed out this race in recent years so the short list has to consist of Ancient Culture, Rhaam and Yossi, with the selection being Ancient Culture. To be fair, Ancient Culture has so far been disappointing given his impeccable breeding but this brother to Beat Hollow has shown enough to be given serious thought here, even though he flopped on soft going at Leicester last time. Rhaam's third to Spice Route two runs ago reads as very good form in the context of today's contest and he has to be considered, while Yossi, who has been a bit disappointing since finishing second in the same race, also has to come into things. Mark Johnston's Star Of Angels is a potential improver from among the others but the selection, once again, is Ancient Culture.
