Verdict

Not a red hot race in terms of quality, but nonetheless competitive, and DUBARA REEF is suggested. Paul Green's three-year-old dotted up at Nottingham last time over 2m and on that evidence he should have no problems with the slightly longer trip today. He is relatively lightly-raced and therefore may well have enough improvement in him to defy a 7lb rise with his age allowance a plus. Planetarium stays all day and is slipping to a competitive mark, while conversely Lava Lamp has gone up 4lbs for winning a Catterick seller over a similar trip last time. Fair Spin is in rude health and has to be short-listed given his bottomless stamina, while the in-form Petella is again capable of picking up some money. Dubara Reef is taken to score.
