Verdict

Richard Fahey has won three of the last four renewals and has a strong hand once again with Spring Offensive and La Dorotea both dropping back down in class. First Dream would have a shout if taking part but was engaged at Ripon yesterday while Shaakis has claims returning to a mile and is preferred to My Dream Boat and Pumaflor. But SWIFT EMPEROR (NAP) is the least exposed and having won in this grade at Haydock on his first start over today's trip, David Barron's charge gets the nod to defy a 3lb rise and go in again.
