        Verdict

        REACHFORTHESTARS is the only one of these with form on genuinely soft ground. She went close at Thirsk before posting a better effort when fourth in the May Hill at Doncaster and should make a race of it with D'bai. The latter was a well-beaten third in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster last time but should go close in this off a mark of 103 if handling the going. The latter is preferred to the other Godolphin runner and maiden winner Dowayla while though Monticello was well beaten in the Solario at Sandown last time he had gone close in a Listed race at Ascot before that. There was some cut in the ground when Good Omen won at Bath but Al Hamdany has yet to race on Turf and Forest Ranger and Euro Nightmare have some catching up to do to match the principals.
