A half-brother to a middle-distance and hurdles winner, SABRE SQUADRON should handle the step up in trip after landing maiden at Leicester. He hasn’t raced since May but has more scope than recent Nottingham winner Al Destoor. The latter is upped 4lb for that success but Bahama Moon can race off the same mark as when placed in soft ground at Nottingham on his latest start. Throckley ran well at York last month and that looks stronger form than Azzir’s third at Ayr in July while Classic Villager is slipping back down the weights having notched up a hat-trick last season.
