The presence of WISHFULL THINKING here has compressed the handicap to such an extent that only the top five will carry their correct weight. Philip Hobbs' charge has progressed into a high-class chaser and followed an excellent second to Noble Prince in the Jewson at Cheltenham with a very impressive victory in the Grade 2 Manifesto at Aintree where he jumped superbly and was never in danger of defeat. He had Tharawaat 40 lengths back in fourth in the latter event and should soon have these struggling to stay in touch. Torpichen is one of the few on their correct mark but disappointed at Fairyhouse after looking a promising recruit to chasing so it could be Thegreatjohnbrowne who poses the main threat. Noel Meade's charge beat the classy Bostons Angel on his chasing bow over 2m4f here in October and though beaten by that rival in the Grade 1 Fort Leney at Leopardstown subsequently that was over three miles and this looks his trip.
