Verdict

Castle North has run well enough in both bumper starts to suggest she'll be thereabouts again while Valdieu was in the front rank until fading in the heavy going at Ballinrobe so should get involved in the finish. City Island is another who was prominent for much of the way here last month and looks certain to improve, though a chance is taken with CARACARA MAIL. Jonathan Sweeney does very well with his ex-pointers and Derek O'Connor rides, as he did when his mount was successful between the flags at Dawstown earlier this month. Denwork was well beaten into third at Cork but should do better on this much quicker ground.
