Ra Junior would edge out TIMOCRACY if the weights panned out perfectly but we'll side with the latter. Andy Haynes' charge is a warrior of a horse whose six-timer earlier this season was a testament to the trainer's placing and the horse's own consitution. He's the type who never knows he's beaten and 1m2f on quick ground represent just about his optimum conditions, so arriving on the back of a decent spin over timber he looks very much the one to beat. Ra Junior hasn't won since shedding his maiden tag as a juvenile, at which time he looked a potentially smart type, but he'll have had few easier opportunities than this and excuses will be wearing out if he can't go close. Applaude looks to have a bit to do giving weight away all-round but this is his grade, he's won at the track and quick ground poses no threat, so along with Phantom Serenade he looks the pick of the opposition.
