Major Rowan has had a dozen starts on Turf without winning but has four victories on the all-weather to his credit which is why he's on an 11lb lower mark. Percy Verence is still a maiden and having his first start for Tracy Waggot but Midnight Warrior is 2lb lower than last summer's course and distance victory. MISS TREE is only 1lb higher than her victory over today's rival Jan De Heem over the trip at Catterick in October and that sort of form would see her in the firing-line so she gets the nod. Russian Royale has no problems with the trip and if the ground eases can give a good account despite a big weight.
