Verdict

Gundagai has never fulfilled the potential he showed as a novice and is still a maiden after 25 career starts. Janeylad's run when a close second to Golden Kite at Kilbeggan a year ago would put him in the frame but he's been well beaten subsequently while All Noble is yet to reach a place in five starts over fences. Casadei's strike rate of 1-41 over fences hardly inspires confidence so this may go to the top weight BALE O'SHEA, a progressive hurdler who made a winning start to his chasing career at Wetherby earlier this month and doesn't appear to have any more to do against moderate opposition.
