Verdict

Jim Bolger has won this twice in the past three years and has three entries with the twice-raced Intensical likely to prove stronger at this stage than newcomers Teoleena and Tirghra. He's run in Listed and Group 3 company so is obviously well regarded and this is a drop in class. JOHN CONSTABLE started a short-priced favourite on his debut at Gowran but never looked likely to win despite running reasonably well. The son of Montjeu out of the classy Dance Parade will have learnt plenty from that run and can get off the mark. Dermot Welds's Go For Goal makes his debut in a first time visor and is bred for middle-distances.
