In depth

Verdict

GLOBAL REACH was totally unfancied on her debut at the Curragh a couple of weeks ago but ran a fine race, making much of the running before being outpaced by Wandering Star in the closing stages. She'll have come on for the experience and will take some catching here. Cape Glory had a run at Dundalk a year ago and didn't reappear until a month ago when staying on nicely over 1m2f at the Curragh. It will be a surprise if he's not thereabouts but Timikar has a long absence to overcome and his stable still hasn't struck form. Sardinia could prove the main threat on his belated debut as he's related to six winners including several classy performers though he has no fancy entries.
