Verdict

This is likely to be a tactical affair in which we favour Ryan Moore, aboard Redesignation, to master Fifteen Love (Richard Hughes)and House (Darryll Holland). The well-bred newcomer Collection should also be noted in the betting, as his yard are very capable of getting one ready at the first time of asking. This son of Peintre Celebre - a half-brother to a multiple winner at seven furlongs - holds a Derby entry and would be expected to take this in his stride were he to be a realistic contender for Epsom next June. House failed to handle the track at Goodwood last time out and is better judged by his previous start. When he was not beaten far by a subsequent Group 3 winner at Newmarket in August. Mick Channon's team have been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks, so it would come as no surprise to see this fellow find the necessary improvement to figure strongly. Fifteen Love is highly regarded and comes here instead of taking up his entry in a Group 3 back at racing's headquarters on Friday. He has to be respected accordingly and is sure to be a tough customer to deal with. However, Redesignation makes a touch more appeal as a betting proposition and, assuming he is unscathed from his mishap at Ayr a fortnight ago, the son of Key Of Luck rates as better value option on this occasion.
