Verdict

Secret Liaison gets the verdict in this open looking claimer, History Boy and Best Selection could provide most danger. Sir Mark Prescott's charge is rated 85 and has been in terrific form this summer. He took a Kempton handicap, before running well in a stronger race at Catterick. Dropping into claiming company his chance is there for all to see. History Boy though will be no pushover. He is not far behind the selection on official ratings and has also been in good form this season, scoring a victory at Wolverhampton and also running well in better races than this. Best Selection does appear to have a little bit to find but this drop in trip may bring out some improvement. Surrey Spinner may prove best of the others, but we return to Secret Liaison as the more likely winner.
