Verdict

DICK TURPIN is taken to get the better of Drift And Dream and Raine's Cross. The selection was an easy winner on his debut in a maiden at Windsor when he beat Missionaire. The form has worked out okay and although this colt from the Richard Hannon yard has more on his plate today, he looks like one to stay on the right side of. Drift And Dream won by a head on her debut over 5f at Yarmouth and on breeding she should improve for this extra furlong today. Raine's Cross is dropped in grade after finishing well down the field in the Coventry Stakes at Ascot last month. He had previously looked a useful prospect and in this grade he has to be respected. Emma Dora has shown gradual progression in each of her three runs so far and she ran her best race yet when getting off the mark at Newmarket last time when she beat Water Biscuit. She will need to improve to win this but she is going the right way and she can't be ruled out. There are plenty in with chances here and the vote goes to Dick Turpin.
