Verdict

Qenaa and Sweet Cecily are two obvious newcomers however BUNCE sets a good standard and is fancied to break his duck at the fourth time of asking. Richard Hannon has a strong handle on the race and he won it in 2003 and 2004. Bunce has shaped well in all three starts and with Richard Hughes taking the ride for the first time (superb on the two-year-old's this year) he should prove hard to beat. Stablemate Sweet Cecily needs a market check on her racecourse bow but she faces some nice colts here, so along with Qenaa she is reluctantly opposed. Quality Art made 105,000 guineas at the breeze-up sales and this brother to Quality Mover is not discounted on debut, however the main threat may emerge from Extra Power. Mick Channon's Acclamation colt lost little in defeat on a Scottish raid last time behind Where's Romeo and is afforded plenty of respect. A cracking start to the card where we are happy to plump for Bunce.
