Selsey shaped well enough on her handicap bow to merit selection here with Shanzu and Snowdrop Princess others that could figure in an open contest. She showed the odd glimmer of ability in three maidens and stayed on grittily to finish third behind Shanzu at Windsor. She meets Henry Candy's filly on 4lbs better terms and is taken to reverse the form with this stiffer track and extra furlong expected to suit. There's clearly little between the pair on the Windsor evidence whilst Snowdrop Princess also has to enter calculations following her win at Nottingham in first time blinkers. She drops down a furlong in trip but is unpenalised for the success so holds an obvious chance. Sir Kyffin's Folly went well last time but has to prove her ability on fast ground whilst it wouldn't be the biggest surprise to see the likes of Rescue Me, Quinzey's Best or Italian Goddess feature either. The selection, though, is Selsey.
