In depth

Verdict

Pegasus Prince has won three times on the all-weather Flat and twice over hurdles and badly needed his debut run over fences at Hexham last month. Dual winning point-to-pointer Thats Ben had a stiff task on his chasing bow at Chepstow but was going on at the finish of that 3m event and he looks a real marathon performer. ALEXANDER ROAD and Wistow were similar types over timber having been successful in novice company though likely to do better over fences. The former just gets the vote as she is bred for this job and there's no better trainer to get the best out of a staying chaser.
