Verdict

CASTLEHUME went up 5lb for a battling victory at Bellewstown but it made no difference as he scooted in at Galway last week for which he's up another 10lb. He's stepping up in trip so will need to make further progress but appears capable of doing so. Fearachain had dropped to a lowly mark when runner-up at Ballinrobe though this looks tougher as Pass The Ball is also on a hat-trick. He's also proven over this trip though a 9lb rise won't help. Global Fert hasn't had much racing for his age and can do better though his form to date has been on much softer ground and though Barry Geraghty is on board Gentleman Duke his mount's overall form leaves him short.
