In depth

Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer SIZING COAL made a successful debut over fences and was then very highly tried. His close third in the Irish Grand National, with subsequent Aintree hero Rule The World just in front, is the obvious stand-out performance of any of these and he can make a successful return to action. Another Rebel defied a very long absence to make a successful debut over fences on heavy going at Cork in March before pulling up over timber a month later so he's best watched for now. Mic Milano has won three races over hurdles though in very poor grade and has been well beaten in two starts over fences while Getoutwhenyoucan, who won five times over timber in better class, showed nothing in four starts over the bigger obstacles.
