    Verdict

This depends on VIVID BLUE handling the surface as her second at Newmarket last month is the best piece of form on offer. Willie Haggas' excellent record at this track is in her favour, however, and she gets the vote to open her account. Charlcot went very close over C&D last time but the older horse has to give plenty of weight to the higher-rated Lord Paget, who has been placed at Wolverhampton on a couple of occasions, while Ty Gwr seemed to handle the Fibresand but just wasn't good enough when third over a mile here last time. Newcomer Queen Cassiopeia is worth noting for future reference.
