Delayed Approach and Nakoma look to be the leading protagonists here and we¿ll take Delayed Approach to score. Tony McCoy¿s mount went well under Richard Johnson when just held at Worcester last time, being collared in the latter stages. The drop back in trip may well prove to be the key here and it should still be a test of stamina, while enabling her to see it out all the way to the line and we¿ll side with the mare. Nakoma, on the other hand, has been having trouble finding a turn of foot at the end of her races, but nevertheless she has run to a better level of form than most of these, acts on the ground and looks the biggest danger. Owen Brennan has had plenty of winners at this venue over the years and he is represented by both Ellerslie Lisa and Lucky Pearl, and the latter looks the pick tonight. She can build on a promising run here last time and get competitive. True Dove was good enough to land a bumper on a sound surface but is out of form at present so looks opposable, and we¿ll take Delayed Approach to win under the champion.
