LINDORO should do well for his new connections and is preferred to Flores Sea and Carbon Hoofprint. The gelding has the highest official rating in the field having shown a decent level of form in handicaps but the assessor appeared to have him in a vice like grip so it's no surprise that his connections opted to send him to the sales. His ability to handle this surface has to be taken on trust but he should be up to winning a race of this nature. He's closely matched with Flores Sea on the figures and David Barron's runner has the advantage of proven form on the surface. Fitness is unlikely to be an issue with the yard amongst the winners of late and he rates highly. Carbon Hoofprint is another that has probably just been collared by the handicapper and he should be effective at this level if he takes to the fibresand. Autumn Blades has form claims whilst Pride Of Nation and Dabbers Ridge were capable of holding their own in more exalted company than this in their day and are worth a cursory check but Lindoro is preferred.
